Running water flooded atop his head as he leaned his body over, allowing a monstrous waterfall to envelope his entire top half. The heavy flow of water drenched his entire torso, causing thick onyx locks to cling to his porcelain exterior, and even coax his vision for a few brief moments. Each droplet was like an alleviating kiss from the heavens, it relieved his aching muscles and tired mind. Taking in a large, lengthy breath, he removed himself from the stream, running a few loose digits through knotty strands.

The raven often enjoyed isolated moments like this, nothing but a peaceful waterfall to drown out any unwanted noises, it kept him at peace. It kept his mind clear and for once, he could think exquisitely level-headed. It was in these brief moments of sanity that he found himself wishing for another destiny - idling in the back of his mind was his past, albeit horrifying and traumatizing, he found the existence of such suffering as a comfort. If it hadn’t been for Itachi, Sasuke would have never known just how fucked up Konoha was, and how badly it needed to be cleansed; purified of every imperfect person in it.

Fingers curled, disgruntled once again by his thoughts. He pulled himself away from the water completely, returning to his dry shirt and loosely pulling it over his head.

He followed the waterfall’s miniature river until he saw a crouched over figure. Sasuke was too far to recognize or make out the person’s identity, so he cautiously moved forward.

Naruto took a few sips of water before he put his water bottle in his knapsack and he sat down on the dirt, slowly sliding off his shoes and putting them by his side as he slid his feet into the water, enjoying the cold sensation of the water running over his flesh. “Ahh…” The blonde sighed as he looked up at the clear blue sky. It was a beautiful day. Hopefully Naruto would reach Konoha before the sun set, it was no fun travelling in the dark alone.

The blonde slowly slid his jacket off, tying it around his waist, leaving him in a black t-shirt as he kicked his legs in the water, grinning to himself as the water splashed. After a little while longer of resting, Naruto slowly took his feet out of the water and pulled his shoes on. It was time to  get back to walking. Naruto got to his feet, pulling his knapsack over his shoulders, and began to head back for the road he’d temporarily diverted from.

The figure suddenly drew closer. Their proximity was deducted to only a few kilometers. Sasuke could barely make out the evident male’s spiked hair. Of course, he thought nothing of this, considering many people had that type of ridiculous hairstyle.. But then they began to close in on one another, and it was then that he realized who exactly it was. It took him a brief moment to get over the awe struck shock, followed by blatant irritation.

He’d just got back from relaxing - now he would possibly be in the midst of a fruitless confrontation. Nostrils flared, and instead of physically acknowledging the flaxen haired male, he simply continued treading his feet, sauntering onward.

His eyes were closed, alleviated from the sight of that annoyingly joyous face. Digits curled, demeanor changing to that of ignorance as the moment finally came where he simply passed by the other, his eyes remaining closed, and his guise remaining devoid.
